What does lab accreditation actually verify?

Lab accreditation verifies process, not outcomes. It attests that a clinic's embryology lab follows written protocols for handling eggs, sperm, and embryos, controls its temperature, air quality, and equipment, labels and tracks every specimen, and passes periodic outside inspection against a published checklist. In plain terms, it says the lab is run competently and consistently. The embryology lab is the room where fertilization, embryo culture, freezing, and thawing happen. It is arguably the part of an IVF clinic that most shapes your result, and also the part you will never see for yourself.
