We write in plain language, in the third person, and we keep it to information — not advice. Every empirical statement is tied to a real source; if we cannot source it, we cut it. Our full standards are in the editorial policy.
Medical review is the next step, and it is a real one. As licensed clinicians join Gale, each guide will carry a named, credentialed reviewer — and because Gale is also where that clinician practices, the reviewer is someone a reader can actually see for care, not a contracted name. Until a page shows a named reviewer, it states plainly that it was written by the editorial team and grounded in its cited sources.
