Before you book · your price

How pricing works before you book

You see a real number before you commit to anything — a self-pay rate Gale has already negotiated with the clinician. No calling around, no surprise bill.

What happens before you book

  1. 1

You tell Gale what's going on

Gale matches you to a clinician who fits — and shows their self-pay rate for that visit, so you know the price is part of the match, not a surprise after it.

  2. 2

Gale shows the price for that specific visit

A CPT-coded estimate for the exact visit type — not a national average, but the number for that clinician, that visit.

  3. 3

Self-pay rates are pre-negotiated, not haggled at the counter

Clinicians set their self-pay rate with Gale in advance as part of joining the network. The discounted price is already baked into the estimate you see — you never have to ask for it or negotiate it yourself.

  4. 4

Every booking ends with a written estimate you can keep

A Good Faith Estimate — the itemized, No Surprises Act document — is generated at booking and waiting in your portal, printable, before your visit happens.

One honest number, negotiated in advance

Paying cash

A rate Gale already negotiated

Clinicians set their self-pay rate with Gale when they join — typically well under the list charge. You see the negotiated price directly; there's nothing to ask for at check-in.

It's a qualified medical expense, so you can pay with any card — including HSA/FSA, with pre-tax dollars.

What this isn't

An estimate, not a guarantee — labs, imaging, or anything added during the visit bill separately and aren't in the upfront number. Read more about the specific figures on what a visit costs without insurance.

Synthetic demonstration — figures shown in the product come from a sandbox fee schedule, not a live claim. Not a medical device; not financial advice. Find care →
